Cultivating Partners In Conservation
The Missouri Parks Association's Urban Population Outreach Project, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and the Missouri Department of Conservation have joined together to provide outdoor skills and nature-related programming for disadvantaged urban youngsters in the Kansas City, Missouri area for the coming year.
Thanks to a grant awarded by the Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation, these young people will have opportunities to participate in nine outdoor education experiences that emphasize fishing, forestry and wildlife.
This program will plant conservation seeds that hopefully will cultivate future conservationists who will protect our precious natural resources -- especially in urban environments.
